Velo Schauff Grand Sport - Bent - cheap

Bought off FB Marketplace last week on a whim, based on the frame looking interesting!

Edit: frame is probably bent.

Spec:

Steel Frame, Lugged, unbranded – 62cm seat tube, 57cm top tube
Brakes – Weinmann Centre Pulls
Gears – Shimano
Chainset – Nervar
Front Wheel – Shimano hub, wolber rim
Rear Wheel – unbranded
Tyres – 700 x 25c
Seat – Selle Royal
Seatpost – Selle San Marco
Stem – ITM

I haven’t been any distance on it but it feels nice and solid, and well put together. Everything works.

Needs bar tape and I imagine brake hoods unless you’re hardcore!

I paid £50 for it last week, so it’s the same price on here. Collection only from Bolton.

Any queries let me know,

Cheers, Joe

Re: Velo Schauff Grand Sport - Large (62cm) - Bolton

Now been advised that the seat-stays are probably damaged (rather than curved), so this will be being broken for spares unless anyone specifically want's it as-is.

Thanks, Joe

Re:

Anyone have a desire to take this off my hands to save me rebuilding it on another frame?

It can be a bit cheaper....

Re:

Hi, it would appear that you are not too well informed about bikes, so to help you move on. The frame is scrap, and the components have no real value. I think you would be best to strip it, and find a straight frame that you like to put the bits back on.

Don't bother bumping your post again, it's of no use to anyone.

Hey Gren, just seen your post.

No idea who you are, but your post is completely unacceptable and I'm willing to bet you wouldn't talk to me like that in person. Anyway it's pretty obvious you're a child so I'd better not be too harsh, hormones do rage at that age, my sympathies to your parents.

Glad to bump this one back to the top, hopefully it upsets you a bit more.

As a youngster of 62 who has been riding/buying/selling/working on bikes for 50yrs now, I was trying to be heplful.

It woud appear that you are the one making the school-boy's error of buying a completely dud bike.

As you seem to think you are some sort of "big cheese" on here I'll back off to make way for the flood of buyers.

Please bump the post as often as you can, I get a laugh each time I see you've raised to the top again

I think it was the way the news was delivered that the bike was worthless as a bike due to the damage. Could have been a little more sensitive ..

Trying to be helpful?! You have a funny way of showing it! I don't think I'm the only one who thought the tone was absolutely uncalled for.

Where on earth did you get that notion from? NOTHING in any of my posts suggest that I think i am superior to anyone else. Nor do I EVER post condescending "advice" to people I don't know anything about. You on the other hand........

Anyway Happy New Year, let's forget about it eh.

Joe
