Brief History:
Giovanni Pinarello, one of 12 brothers, was born in 1922 in Catena di Villorba in Italy. He found a love for the bike as a means to get around his farming community. Pinarello was building his own bikes as early as the age of 15 following the footsteps of his cousin Alessandro. In 1957, La Padovani became the first pro team to use Pinarello bikes. Mainetti was the first team Pinarello sponsored in 1960. Six years later, Pinarello had its first pro victory by Guido de Rosso at the Tour de l'Avenir.
