Hi

I have for sale my 1987 Gold plated Raleigh Centenary no.064 60cm

In Good condition, little bit of surface rust around the lugs (see pics)

i have the original seat post to put back on along with pedals

Based in the North East,

Looking for around £1000

does work. looks good.
I remember seeing one of those hanging up in a bike shop long ago. Unsurprisingly I havent seen one since.
Presumably all the better R dealers were allocated one to flog ?

real gold. probably not all that much of it.

They were plated with real gold albeit a very thin layer over chrome. I had a few frames gold plated in the late 70's and it wasn't anything like as expensive as you might imagine but a top finish needs a lot of experience.
