Peugeot Optimum 531 Reynolds - Handbrazed 52cm

Location: NE21 Newcastle

Selling to make way for a project. It's been used fortnightly for 35-40 dry miles for the last 12 months and hasn't missed a beat

Original Shimano rx100 group set but have just upgraded it with quill stem adapter, DEDA Zero1 stem, drop bars with BN unused bar tape, downtube adaptors, Shimano Claris shifters, 52/39t crankset (39t was fitted under 200 mile ago and 12-25t cassette. The seat post was replaced and than fitted with a Charge Spoon saddle. Recent vittoria rubinos that have done under 400 mile.

There is one small surface rust mark on the top tube which was there when I bought it off my father in law in January, but in overall very good condition as it was the wrong size for him from new in 1991

£200 as it stands (exc BN M520 pedals although will leave on for extra £20) or will convert it back to original bars and downtube shifters for £150. the conversion was done in a way the new bars and cables can be taken off and the originals refitted without major surgery.

upgrades are brand new unused as of tonight 28/3 but I will be using this until it sells

It was sold but it turned out to be to small for the buyer (6ft 1in). Since the post it has had r500 wheels and claris rear mech to accommodate a 12-32 8 speed cassette, which would be in with the £200.

It was used for months after this post until I got my defy in May and has been locked away since. Now being sold to fund a hybrid/MTB for the wife
