Superlight Kalkhoff Professional 11 S. 531 Professional tubeset -on the scales thisframe is 96gr heavier than my 54cm Dave Lloyd 753. Quite a rare tubeset and the paint finish is sterling. 53cm, c to c. Square. Investment cast Bocama lugset, cutouts. Bike weighs 18.7lbs (sprints). Metallic bronze, German national team decals. Only flaw to speak of in thos otherwise lovely little bike is that one of the top tube cables guides is gone, has been replaced with period correct clip.

Thanks! In terms of build quality and finishing I think these bikes are definitely up there with Austro Daimler and the top end 531 production of the 80's.

A little after my time but in 1978 Reynolds gave away 531 SL tubesets as prizes :)

Yeah, I remember my mate Brian winning a 531 Pro tubeset at the Junior Tour of Ireland. I was like 'Whats the point in that?'. I won a crate of Guinness at an afternoon crit..

He got Dave Yates to make him up a bike in USA colours which the bugger used to trounce me in nearly every race for the next twelve months!

What's the handling like compared to a bog standard 531 frame?

Interested in buying, just a few things - what width are the bars, length of cranks and how much is 48hr insured shipping?
