Dirt Disciple
Early 1970's PX-10 complete bicycle, restored by artist Horia Nitu

The frame is 54cm SeatTube (c-t) and 56cm TopTube (c-c).

Constructed of Reynolds 531 tubing and Nervex Professional model no. 49/162 lugs, black at the head tube, the frame is free of dents and the chrome is in very good shape.

Nervex model no. 49/162 are also known as Nervex 'fancy' lugs. A Nervex model no. 49/162 lug set consists of 2 head lugs, seat lug, bottom bracket shell and fork corwn. PX10's can be found without Nervex no. 49/162 lugs or with a combination of 49/162 lugs and plain lugs. Not all PX10's have this style lug, some have a complete set while others have none.

The parts used to assemble the bike are used and have wear from use.
• Derailleurs Simplex SLJ 5500, Super LJ
• Sfifters Simplex Criterium
• Brakes Mafac Competition Gold edition, orginal brake pads
• Simplex Brake Cable Clips
• Cranks Stronglight 170mm
• Saddle Ideale 43 Type Record saddle
• Headset Stronglight Competition
• Steam Peugeot
• Handlebar Atax Philippe Professionnel
• Lyotard pedals
• Wheels Mavic New Star hubs
• Chain Everest Serie Oro

Tires have tread and hold air. They may not be safe to use.

Other component concerns include the derailleur cable bracket mounted near the bottom bracket. Do I have the correct model and vintage? I am not sure at this point in time but the unit mounted looks just fine, does the job nicely and only experts will know the difference.
