Moulton Major £100

I'm never going to get round to doing this so here goes. A potentially very nice, very original Moulton Major - with 4 speed Sturmey FW, front dynohub, and front and rear racks. This is a "shed find" in sound condition in spite of lots of surface rust. When I got it I gave it a quick wash and a squirt of oil here and there. Following this, (with the exception of the front wheel) everything was found to be functional and nothing seized as far as I can tell. Hub gears work fine. Suspension seems to work well! I also started giving the seat tube a polish to see how it would come up - you can probably see in the picture.

Only issue other than cosmetics is the front wheel, which was obviously left in a damp patch in the shed as the tyre was wrecked and the rim was too rotten to get a new tyre on.

I bought some used but good Brompton alloy rims, as well as the correct size schwalbe tyres and tubes about a year ago. I am happy to haggle if you want these too. My plan was to rebuild the wheels and ride it for a while while pondering whether to restore it fully.

Sure you could get double that on eBay especially as it has a front rack. I'm sure it'll get snapped up if you advertise it on the yahoo Moulton forum.

Thanks, you're probably right. If there's no interest soonish I will list on eBay. Generally nicer to do a deal on a forum and always a plus to avoid eBay's exorbitant fees...

Comments here and elsewhere have convinced me to put it on eBay and get top dollar for it. It's listed now with no reserve and a penny start. I hope it finds a good home.
