We've owned this beautiful 1936 frame Claude Butler tandem for over 20 years, but have recently bought a new one, so looking to find a new home for Claud. In its day it was promoted as an "ultra lite" super fast tourer.

The bike is in perfect working order. We do have the original drop handlebars for the stoker as well. Price £600

Actually we've hardly used it in the last 20 years - our kids are now 17-19 and whilst they were growing up we stopped riding together, so I'd say its only done 500 miles since we stopped riding in 1998! We are in Oxfordshire

I dont know the exact size, but its not huge - I an 5 ft 8 and its fine for us, but if you were over 6ft might be a challenge. I can measure if you like

I'm 5 11 but it should extend a bit. the standover height of the rear is the crucial thing. if you could measure the ground to top of top tube that'd be brilliant.

so its 74cm from the ground to the top of the top tube (straight vertical measurement)
