British Eagle Touristique 531 ST

Old School Hero
531ST Tourer

54cm

I've spent a lot of time and effort on upgrading this after purchasing from the original owner-from-new, who resprayed/restickered the bike about 8 years ago in French blue.
Its in very good condition and its been carefully ridden all its life.

Its now got a new Stronglight headset, XT V brakes and levers to suit, little-used XT front and rear derailleur, new black mudguards and a longer stem to suit my 5' 10".
Its all there but needs final fitting up to suit; I've realised that I'm not going to tour on it and with a nagging hand injury its been sitting on the stand too long...

Re:

Rare to see a tourer on here! If anyone's wondering just how nice of a ride these bikes are they're bloody lovely, prefer mine to the Dawes galaxy of the same era ;-)

This really is a fabulous bike - photographed with brakes and hoods properly aligned now.
Its under 12kg, and the V brakes and Tektros work very well. Its incredibly quiet.
From original price, I also have some black Deore V brakes which this could be fitted with if you want another cheaper option
