Retro Newbie
Lovely classic racer from the late 80s in good riding condition. Ridden in many amateur races by my good friend and former employer.
Spec as follows:
Reynolds 753/531 lugged, handbuilt steel frame and forks by Chas Bland of Bristol. 21"/53cm seat tube.
Some chips and rusting to paint but still looks well in 80's purple
Sachs 'New Success' groupset with 39/53 chainrings and close ratio sprockets.
Look 'ARC' clipless pedals
Wheels are Campagnolo Omicron rims on Shimano RX100 hubs, brand new Specialized tyres with puncture resistant belt
San Marco 'Rolls' saddle
3T handlebar and stem
Also included is a set of wheels for tubular tyres. These look well used and I would recommend a rebuild for safety's sake. The rims also have the previous owners name hand painted on - I guess when he put them in the 'neutral service' car in case he needed a spare during a race.
These are Mavic GP4 rims on Campagnolo Record greaseport hubs, Sachs Maillard 13-21 sprockets.
Looking for £250 or very close offers. If it wasn't for the size of my hulking frame I would keep it and ride it myself!
Located near Worcester.
