WANTED 28.6 front Mech, Brake levers, Head set and a seat

Mid life Kona

Dirt Disciple
As the title says, I'm looking for a 28.6 front mech and brake levers to fit my 99 Explosif. XT 750 would be great as that's what the majority of the group set is for the Mech, but pretty open on the levers. 739, Avid 1.9 or 2.0.
Headset, preferably Chris King in Red or Black. Other good quality brands may be considered.
Seat, pretty open to what's offered to be honest. Red or Black will be favourable, but as long as it has no damage, rips etc... I'll consider it.
Im not looking for perfect, but it must work well and the cleaner the better with no deep gouges.

Thanks all!

Cool, let me know what you've got please. Oh, the mech is top pull by the way.

Re:

Avid 1.9 levers. Really good condition. Slight Mark's to the bar clamp area if I'm being picky.

Re:

Various saddles. WTB Silverado (new), selle Italia x2 (one is SLR 135g, cant remember other model), crank bros iodine 2 (new, trial fitted but found an 11 before I rode the bike), SDG Rock City(new, trial fitted). I have others, posts too if you fancy a ibeam saddle/post).

Re:

I've not had a chance to dig out headsets or front mechs, but pretty sure I have a couple of black chris kings (one may even be new) and a black hope or two.

Front mech wise, I have an xt m739 and fairly sure I have an xtr m95x in the clamp size you are looking for (could also do a cheap m952 rear mech to help match things, xt m739 rear mech too).

I think I have an xt m750 front mech, but it will require a shim down to the size you need (I reckon I have one somewhere).

Will get pics over to you tomorrow evening (busy most of the day).

That's some stash that you have there!

As with everything in life it'll come down to costs, but the levers are a definite yes.

The Selle Italia seat looks good too, but not 100% sure.

Let me know on the headsets as both would be good for this bike. Although my, stick with what I know mindset puts the Chris King more favourable.

With the Mechs the XT 750 (Only because that's what the rest of the group set is) would be first choice, then the others. But only if it requires the thinnest shim.

IHave a good day with whatever your busy with, and I'll wait for the pictures and prices.

Re:

Here are some headset pics. The one pictured on the frame is in great shape with smooth bearings. I have the base plate and top cap though not pictured.

The other one is a brand new sotto voice with the grip lock top race cover I.e. compression style rather than the o-ring only style. The top cap might be used, I cant remember.

I couldn't find a front mech I'm afraid, the only xt m750 I have is bottom pull and 34.9 band size.

Re:

Hi,

Can you give me prices for the levers and the headsets please? Either one would be great, but as the bike is going to ridden and not a garage queen, the used one may do.

Did you have any front mechs at all?

Cheers.

Re:

Ok, new headset: £100, used £65, levers £20. I'll knock £5 off the total for combined purchase.

The only mech I have in top pull 28.6 is an xt m739. I have some xtr m950 in 31.8 so a slim shim would bring them down.
