If your'e having trouble finding a JW-2, Why not expand the search to include the PRST-1 whch was its premium "big brother". Same frame, but with more expensive bits, big gripper monocoque forks and beefier swing arm.
Also, don't forget the later quad link rear end JW-4's and PRST-4's. Better rear suspension, lighter swingarms and usually disc specific. Only real downside is that 14 of the bearings originate from the world of aircraft, and can be quite dear to replace..
