fork for my GT ZASKAR LE

Hi,

I am searching for a fork for my ZASKAR LE dated from 96-97. The bike is quite light, below 8kg, so I had a Rock Shox SID in mind but with alu steerer not workable as I do have a Syncross stem which needs steel. As I am so long out of biking I cannot remember what else could work and exist. The fork should be as light as possible and a high end fork which came out around 1998 ( i dont mind a few years but the fork should fit to the bike at the end) but finally I am open for any proposal.

Unfortunatly I dont have pics from my blue ZASKAR LE here at the moment as I am on leave but will post some mid next week.

Had some more investigations ref a potential fork. Well, so far i found 1 SID which has a 245mm long steerer tube but was made of carbon so again no option.

Slowly i am start thinking to either change the syncros stem to a old red tune stem which allows alumina and carbon/titan steerer tube.

Ahh, what a pain in the a** with the fork

got a tune stem so now be ablate to accept alu forks.

does anybody has a sid from 1998 - 2001/2 with a steerer tube length of 230mm or longer?
