Hope headset crown race

I need a crown race for a 2002/2003 Hope Enduro headset. Standard/conventional type, 1_1/8" steerer diameter. I don't think they make them anymore, and the new ones aren't compatible.

alternatively, the bottom half of a silver headset to match the top half of my hope headset!

Does that crack really effect it ?
Given a lot and Hope own and now the pre-'07 XC headsets crown races are split types.

The main part seems to be intact, that just seems to be the seal bit ?

Have you emailed/rang hope (in case nobody here has anything useful?)

I've been advised to get a new one, but as you say the newer models do have a split in them anyway. Hope sell their headsets 'pick and mix', so I wouldn't need to get a full new headset anyway. The bearings ont he bottom half of this one aren't great, which is another reason for replacing it.... I think I'll wait and see, I might just use it and keep an eye on it. Even if it failed completely I don't think it would be too catastrofic, even if it happened while riding (but please correct me if I'm wrong about that!)
