Post subject:  ==> 3rd of November <==> 1st Official MTB Museum RetroRide

The MTB Museum has found his own spot in Arnhem. It's a great location for an impressive collection of mountainbikes.

To celebrate this achievement, let's get together, take a look at the museum, talk about old bikes and let's have a RetroRide.

Date is set on 3rd of November

Location
Kemperbergerweg 5a
6816 RM Arnhem
The Netherlands

Program
The timetable would be something like this:

09.00 - 11.00: Welcome
11.00 - 13.00: Indoor/outdoor activity and some food
13.00 - 16.00: RetroRide near Arnhem
16.00 - ……..: afterparty perhaps with some pancakes

The program is transformable to the circumstances.

Please be aware that this event is not the official opening. Not all the bikes will be present at this moment.

International guests
If foreign guests want to come to this event, you're more than welcome. It's possible to stay at the Museumlocation. Please, do not expect any hotel comfort, but warm shower and some cool retrobikes are nearby. You could stay on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Dutch Retrobikeriders are all over The Netherlands, so perhaps it's possible to arrange a pick-up at the airports (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Eindhoven, etc). You could bring your own retrobike, but do not be suprised if you´ll leave without it…

Please, drop me a PM with your thoughts....

Opening
The official opening will be in December, around Christmas or New year. Jeroen expects that the collection will be present and presentable at that point in time.

Help
Jeroen needs some help. There's a lot to do in/with the building. There's also some work to do with the bikes (for example: transportation from different locations to the museum).

Perhaps you're able to help. Please, drop me a PM and let's see what plans can be maked.

Impression
Some pics for the impression...

Cheers,
Will

Are you accepting 'donations' or museum loans? Any gaps in the collection you are looking for?

You need to make a logo, stickers and t-shirt we can buy too..

Good luck!

Still work in progress :D The location is there (it's an old school... ) There's a lot to do with the building. It got four large classrooms, a gym and several other rooms, the bikes are at several storage locations at the moment, so putting things together will take some time, but he is realising his dream...

It would be cool if you're able to come!

Looks fab :D and yes 'sidecar' is the english term. What do they call them where you are ?
And are you going to build that one :D

Post subject:  Re: ==> 3rd of November <==> 1st Official MTB Museum RetroRi

Ofcourse it is allowed.... but I should not do it simply because the location is still a construction site and not a safe environment for a 4 year old child. Also there are no facilities for a child to keep them busy/happy (believe me I know, I have a 6, 4 and 1 year old... I would not bring them...)
