Happy New Year John, I hope it is you as I recognised the Shorter you had up for sale and there can’t be many Mike Mulletts about.
Have a look at these rims http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PAIR-OF-27-x- ... 5b3104125c. I bought a pair and they look good, just a plain curved clincher rim, have yet to build the wheels.

I am actually watching those on ebay, and as you have recommended them I may well buy a pair.
I have a frame coming my way, and I think the back end is spaced at 126mm, so when it arrives I will have a think on what hubs to use.
I will drop by and see you when the weather improves, I suspect you have at least one
project in the go.
