WTD: Mavic 500 / 550 RD front hub 28h

Hi,

I am looking for Mavic 500 RD or 550 RD front hub. Must be 28 holes and in very good condition.

The may look like this:

The ones with the logo on the side are the early 500's

Have a question. Did anyone service mavic 500 RD hubs? Is it easy? I found mine turning very lazy and for short time period.

They are super easy to service.

they made a specific tool to fit into all the pins on the dust seal. But you can use a red park pin spanner if you're careful.

Pop the clip on the axle nut. pull the dust seal and then loosen the axle nut. axle comes out and you can get at the bearings.

they are pretty bombproof and easy to work on. be patient so not to mar up the dust seal.
