Yep, that's the Campag one. It was tightly bound stainless steel and had no clear outer covering. The weight loss of the outer covering made me much faster :)

Personal choice really and depends if you can pick one up at a reasonable price..

Merry Xmas to you and everyone else too Shaun! Was Great yesterday and woke up late!!

Anyway couple of sellers in eBay - £22 and £25 - find the price too steep for a length of cable so thought I'd ask here .

The Suntour one looks like a Velo Orange number

The price of genuine rear outer cables on e-bay beggars belief, feels like being held to ransom !

Tempting to buy modern retro look cable outer :)

I've taken off between X-Mas and new year as annual leave so have a few more days of lie-ins !
