tandem rear

having destroyed 2 rears that weren't tandem specific, I have learned my lesson.
Looking for anything tandem specific that will take 5/6/7 speed block.

If you are using 7 speed why not simply fit a freehub type hub? My touring tandem runs fine on stock MTB hubs, we've loaded up to 190kg in the past. The Shimano freehub design supports the axle at both ends, eliminating the unsupported axle under the freewheel that causes all the bother.

If you dont do the Shimano option then I have in the shed a Suzue cartridge bearing rear hub 40 hole and a new Weinmann rim.I can build them up with Sapim spokes.A bomb proof wheel.£50 posted.I Also have a very good condition Sachs Champagne 12/32 7spd freewheel if needed.jm.
