Late 80s/Early 90s wheelset, MA40, MA2 etc

Hio folks, I'm currently restoring an old 653-framed Peugeot and I'm trying to source a pair of period-correct wheels.

MA40s would be top of my wishlist, but will consider any decent matching wheels.

I can live with different hubs but rims must be same type and in decent condition.

I'll stand corrected, but doesn't the MA series pre-date this? Shouldn't you be looking for Open 4cd's?

You could be right there, I just hoped for MAs as I used them back in my teens in the mid to late 80s while racing and always liked them.

open 4cds would be fine too if a matching pair of built wheels could be bought.

Narp..MA's were produced well into the 90s, they just changed the badging from red to green/yellow..

Got a pair of Open 4CDs on 105 hubs from an early 653 pug. Great condition, no play on 7 speed freehub, 126OLN, original skewers.

Ive got a pair of MA40s laced onto Campagnolo chorus hubs from my 1985 Gios, in good condition with 7sp cassette.
