looking for bike to L'Erocia in Italy

Retro Newbie
Any thing considered. Has to be Steel, pre-87, with gear levers on down tube
I'm 6ft tall and ride a 56cm Condor if that puts into perspective
As this is my first retro bike I don't really want to spend more than 250
Any ideas?

Hi SnappyAndrew,

have a Raleigh Europa 23" which will qualify, excellent working condition, frame has one or two scratches, but looks good overall. £220.

I got a Carlton Continental with Ti Tubing and Campagnolo parts that still work flawlessly (and I haven't even touched them since I've got the bike last year! It has been carefully kept by the previous owner for sure).

It has all the patina you might expect from a bike from the 70s. I just need to put back its original non aero brake levers.

Let me know if interested as I am not actively looking to sell it, but I am not using it as much as I wish.
The only 'issue' you might have is that the rims are steel, so braking power is not as strong as with alloy ones.

It rides smooth.

It is this one, but with the restored leather saddle on it and as said will put original non areo brake levers on it soon (and some leather bar tape I've got lying around)
