Hi Retro fans

It's been a while since I've been on here but the Eroica Britannia is looming and I need some suitable footwear. Ideally a pair of Size 47 Sidi lace-ups with adjustable cleats to compliment my 1980 Colnago Mexico but open to any suggestions. Would also consider a leather style shoe with no plates Can any of you kind people help?

Hope so

Many thanks

Doc

I saw some really nice ones being made for Ian Alexander (based in Derby) when I attended Kidderminster Cycle Jumble. I think they were about £70 but don't quote me. He can be reached at ialexand&tiscali.co.uk.
Please substitute "@" for the "&" when sending an email to him. They compared well to my Pete Salisbury shoes.

You could try a pair of these Vittoria 1976 replicas. I bought a pair about a year ago (when the price was lower :D ) and find them to ber v.good - comfortable and good fit (my shoe size is 43½ and I bought these shoes in 44 and they're a good fit).

Shoes are supllied with plates for use with toe clips/straps (that screw in to Look mounts).

Not the cheapest solution but still a lot cheaper than Dromarti or Marresi.

And you might find a cheaper supplier than this link
