Long-shots I know but you have to try...

My LH 105 6spd shift lever is broken so I thought I'd try and see if someone has one in their spares box before looking for another pair.

I'm also in the process of putting together another Denton road bike but my brakes are recessed and the frame is not. I have already drilled the fork so My 'front recessed spindle fits but i'd need another front recessed or rear standard bolt (they're about the same length, I think) so it fits the rear as well.

A full length standard nutted front bolt would also work if I used a cheeky shim - cut off the end of a recessed bolt then thread it up the spindle to fill the hole I drilled in haste.

The spindles I need were used on 80s 105, Exage brakes and others too. Like this...

Re:

Thanks for the replies and the kind offer of a LH shifter. I need to take a picture of what happened to mine to show what happened to it. Hard to describe but the shifter and the boss cover are both broken due to some freak occurrence. An internal part broke off and cracked the boss cover for good measure.

I had a look on VeloBase and they reckon that the silver shifters are the 1050 model (6 speed) and the 1051 is the 7 speed dark grey? version

Mine are 1050, 6 speed, according to that website...
