I have an old 1051 172.5 chainset that fits tapered BB.
I do't have BB any more as it was worn out, chucked it 2yr ago when I stopped using the chainset. That had been on my bike for >15 years of (light) use. Never been dinged or crashed so no cuts/ gouges but v large no small marks some of which might polish out and perhaps importantly? "Shimano 105" has long since worn off both cranks.
Alas more modern stronglight rings as they were the one thing that did wear out earlier. Rings v v little wear at all.
