Hi, I'm after a frame that can take 26" wheels. I know Thorn make frames that take 26" wheels but they tend to be out of my budget. I recently came across frames by a company called BSA, who used to manufacture frames with 26" wheels but with a more road frame geometry, which is basically what I'm after. E.g. ... 2ec913ccc7 and ... 20d51e18d3

I know that the much older road bikes were primarily 26" wheels. I also know the French used to make some bikes in this style - Motobecane?

Just wondered if anyone here might have some similar frames lying around? Cheers.

26 x 1 3/8" (590mm) was a popular British size BITD, especially for 3 speeds, AKA 650a.

Raleighs and others used 26 x 1 1/4" too (597mm).

French bikes I think used 650b size (584mm).

MTB standard 26" is 559mm.

Then there's 650c = 571mm, old skool triathlon machines mainly IIRC

Hope this helps - might narrow the search a little and prevent incorrect tyre purchases? :D
