I rode like this with my Basso Loto for years with no problems.

A rear hub spaced at 130 can not be respaced to 126 if the hub is for 8 or more speed cassettes because you need extra room for those extra gears.

BTW I had a frame with 126 spacing that could not be cold set because it was titanium. I rode it with 9 speed dura-ace for 10 years and the only problem was changing flats on the side of the road. It was a bit of a trick getting the rear mech out of the way and spreading the stays and holding the bike up at the same time. You needed three hands.

Thanks Lewisfoto.

I'm considering cold-setting a 126 up to a 130 if I can't get my hands on a large 130.

I checked it out. It looks just the ticket, so I joined Markplaats! I sent the gentleman an email; in English....my Dutch is...as good as my Serbo-Croat!

I asked him how long the head tube was, and he sent me top tube measurements!

Excellent, good luck. Postage shouldn't be too bad from Holland.

I think Tel said he knew a courier, you could get in touch with him or try our Dutch friends in the international section and they will know the best way forward.

You're more than welcome, it gives me a chance to trawl the free ads and do a bit of virtual shopping. Let us know how you get on. :)
