Relative newbie on here - I joined for help with a bike I had bought.
My wife and I cycle as our main form of travel (cheaper than filling the car) and we've both been on mtn bikes, mine with slick tyres.
Recently I got a road bike and with the wifes birthday coming up she's been suggesting she would like something that can keep up with her.
So I'm after a road bike for her.
-Nice old steel frames are good- (as are newer alu ones if you want)
-Reasonable condition- I don't mind rebuilding something with new cables pads and tyres etc but don't want to get into realising I've got an french thread bb and a replacement with english thread or so on!
- 20 inch or under.
-700c wheels please!
- DOESN"T have to be "woman specific" she's fit on I'm sure
- oh and if it's got the braze on that would let you stick on a rear rack... let me know!
and I live in Leeds - willing to drive for an hour plus to pick up.
