Looking for preferably Tiagra 9 speed/triple sti's if possible, but will consider Sora if in good nick....please message me.

I've a pair of ST-5500 for sale that I used with double. I have just read various threads online which claim they are triple compatible too. Hoods starting to show age but they shift perfectly:

Can you post the link to the thread please? It's not that I don't trust you(!) I just want to read it myself before I agree to the sale. I've not read double shifters being compatible with triple chain sets before. Cheers for the reply.

AFAIK later models became double/triple specific whereas mine are both, you just have to be careful not to overly strain the shifter moving into big ring as noted in second thread link.
