wtd: wheels, bars, headset etc

I'm helping my neighbour's teenage son build a racer and we need some bits to furnish the cx frame he's found.

Wheelset 700c pref shimano compatible (tatty is ok but worn out brake surface isn't)

Drop handlebars suit skinny teen

1" headset

We're near Leamington area but could drive around to pick up. Also spending time near Bristol, Bourne and Plymouth from time to time.
 
Thanks, I'll ask about the bars, I'm sure it'll be OK.

Trouble with this project is that I'm doing it for a mate on piecemeal basis, so each part has to get OK'd individually.

But the big things I still need are:

wheels 7 or 8spd shimano
brake levers/shifters STI to suit above
 
I am near Leamington and have a nice pair of wheels with tyres and tubes £60 a pair but 7 speed freewheel (screw on) only.
