Shimano obviously btw LOL!

or is it true you can make an 8 speed work?

its just for an old bike to use on a turbo.

(old set has 'gummed up' from being sat, even tho it clicks ok?? i gather they're not the best of things, being an early design?)

cheers, Tony

I have a pair DA 7401 STIs, I just fitted some NOS white hoods, the right side is good but left side feels a bit spongey, cosmetically not great. I also have a pair of 600 tri-colour/Ultegra STIs from the same era, they look good except a bad scratch to the right hand side, the left works well but the right one is jammed. If you take both pairs you could make up a mixed pair or maybe use for spares and repair one of the faulty ones. Both 8x2 speed. I would sell for what I paid on the hoods, £25 posted or collect from London N10/N15. Please request photos if interested.

If it is for a turbo I would use some friction down tube shifters!
