Was the 1500 grams for both inc tyres and cassette??
I have a pair of Shimano R550 with a 9 spped ultegra cassette already on but including tyres they weigh 1200 for 16 spoke front and 1700 for 20 spoke back.

That's alright, thought they were alright wheels then I weighed them and they were miles heavier so was confused. Easily done
