Dear friends,

Heading up to the peak district with my brother and need a 39 tooth ring to handle the hills!

Thank you kindly,

Laurence

You're so right, apologies for being a pain.

It's for a campag chorus crankset from late eighties, c record era I think.

Cheers Ned!

The smallest ring you'll be able to get on that is a 39. it would be easier to change your cassette for something with a larger sprocket, but depending what cassette and rear mech you have, you might be limited. The only other way is to get a modern compact chainset.

Or some MTB pedals and shoes, so that you can walk when you run out of gears

Ha! Ok thank you very much. I'll order a new cassette with a 25 tooth. Will change the original post to a 39tooth.

I might've just sorted one out, but I will of course drop you a line if it falls through. Is the 39t campag?

Cheers!

you can get a niche cassette with a 28 tooth biggest sprocket for 8 or 9 speed, or 29 T for 10 speed. that's what I use over dartmoor...
