Wanted: vintage shoe plates SORTED THANKS,

I think I want nail on!
They have a thin sole though..... I'll post a picture in a while... I'm out at the minute. How much are your alloy ones?

These are they!

Do I have to nail them on these? Using a last, I suppose?

Found 'em.

NOS. Which would you like? Standard or Cyclo-Cross?

£10 posted. Nails are an extra £26, they're very rare!

Those soles look a little thin compared to my favoured "Atalasport" shoes of the 70's.

The TA road one's will be OK as would some Jacques Anquetiel if any come available. Some were quite small and they might become uncomfortable.

I guess you know how to mark up the position of them ?

Cheers

Shaun

That's what I thought....soles a bit thin.
You put t he shoes on and ride for a bit then look at the marks on the soles, yes?

What ones of those^^^ would be best, do you think?

Do the cyclocross ones spikes come out? They look a more "classic" shape, but I really don't know!

I'll fire off the money now Tel, and I'll have the ones in the packet ;0)

Lifesaver!

Good choice :) Solid and popular and reasonable slot depth. A little too shallow for the hard nuts though as it's still possible to pull the shoe from the toeclip pulling hard LOL

Yep, ride around comfortably for a mile or so and the pedals will mark the sole. Draw a line across the rearmost mark and put the slot of the plate 5mm or so in front so the tip of the shoe clears the front of the toe clip :)

You deffo need a last :)
