Forum member ''SYN-CROSSIS'' has a very nice Merlin and the PBC chainset which is on it looks fantastic, he's proberly polished the thing up but one of these is just gorgeous.

Those topline cranks new are $180 dollars or £116 new, then there are the 130mm BCD chainrings
StrongLight [zicral] make some nice 130BCD rings !
If money is no object i'd start looking around for these cranks but its all up to you, maybe someone has a set hanging up in their shed

The solid/uncut sections were done like this as Stronglight says the chain-ring can spin faster more smoothly and cut through the air faster than a cut-out ring.
