I need a tool to remove some self extracting bolts from a c-record chainset... does anyone have one (or something that works) or can tell me where to find one at a reasonable price?

The bit that screws into the crank is reverse threaded and should come out with a peg spanner ( or a pointy pair of pliers ).

circlip pliers sound good. I've been looking for a cheap set on ebay, and there's no mention of pin size... I guess any set will do ?

I guess so.... I got mine from halfords only had the one pin size to choose from.
