Wanted: 700c, 1" forks

Looking for a pair of forks for 700c wheels, with a 1" steerer, for either headset style - if threaded, steerer tube needs to be about 105-110mm.

(Does anyone know if I could cut down a long threaded steerer and use a threadless headset? Any reason this would be a problem?)

Canti-mounts or not, doesn't matter. Preferably something a little tougher than an authentic 'road fork' - ie. tourer, cyclo cross, 29er preferred.

Need a bit of rake - currently have a straight fork/toe overlap problem...

Thanks.

You can certainly cut down the threaded portion of a fork steerer and use it threadless - but never clamp the threaded part, they break off!
Indication of steerer length needed would be helpful.

road fork

got these - 170mm steerer with 40 mm of that threaded. 2 rack/mudguard eyes each side. Red with white overspray so could do with a re-paint, very small ding on one shoulder. £9 posted - might do as a cheapy until you find something posher.

Thanks for the replies.
Reckon I'm best off going cheapy until something that's just right comes up.
Jimbo - how much rake is there on those? Any chance of a side-on pic?
Ta.

A modest amount of rake I'd say. Hope you can judge from this.
