I'm looking for something from the mid to late 80s onwards, all aluminium, no carbon fibre please! The bike they will be going on will have 10 speed chainrings, cassette, and chain, but I will be using friction mode for shifting. So both mech and levers must have enough movement for the full range of a 10 speed cassette (in friction mode I don't think this will be a problem, please let me know if it will be!).

For the mech anything from C-record to current day athena, centaur or veloce is fine, but it must be all alloy, silver, and in decent condition.

For the levers, just about anything will do, but must be in decent condition.

What's out there? let me know what you've got!

cheers, Andy

Hi
I've got a mid 90's veloce or early 90's Athena rear mech. I've a pair of campag friction downtube shifters, nuovo record I think.
£45 for mech & levers posted.
If you want pics send your email address.

After thinking a bit harder about what i need, I've decided that a campagnolo 9 or 10 speed rear mech (all silver, no carbon) will fit the bill nicely. Any model considered, but must be in decent condition. As for shifters, since indexing appears to be impossible without converting a set of barend levers, I need something retrofriction, or even dura ace (the later silver ones for 9 or 10 speed). Again, all silver and reasonable condition please!

Thanks, Andy
