I can't help with what you are after, but are you sure a 7800 front mech will work with 7700 STIs? I thought that the cable pull changed slightly on the newest iteration of the STIs at the front, so you can only use the same group mechs with STIs.

Thanks for the warning - found a 7700 front mech in any case now! Also found a set of 7700 STIs. :)

you can get a new Ironlight here for Euro 105 including delivery, http://www.xxcycle.com/ironlight-titane,,en.php to be fair they aren't that light at 600g. There was a new old stock FRM CU2 with matching Ti bb for £125 on ebay abut a month back. Absolute steal at that price & damn light around 700g for the pair.

Cheers for that info. I was under the impression the Ironlights were a bit lighter than that, so maybe they're not for me. I was looking at the options for shaving a bit of weight from the current setup, though I'm fairly happy with it so it's not too big a deal:

Dura-Ace FC-7410 175mm cranks (444g/pr)
53t outer ring (92g). (My 52t ring would save 16g too)
39t inner ring (35g)
7075 bolts (9g)

= 580g total for the chainset, plus BB bolts. BB is a UN72, around 260g

I had the exact same c/set, lovely looking bit of kit.
If you really wanted something to get the weight down I do have a 103mm Hope Titanium bottom bracket that mates to the 7410, weighs around 160g and is super super smooth.
Be looking for £45 posted for it though
