I am looking for a pair of 700c alloy wheels. Let me be a bit more specific: I am doing up a mid seventies Eddy Merckx (Falcon rebadge I think) for my wife. It's really nothing special, but she likes it. It has a pair of rather tatty steel 27x1.75" wheels currently. I would like to swap these for some plain silver alloy wheels of a 700c flavour (the slightly smaller diameter will help mudguard clearance which is currently a problem). The current wheels include a 5 speed freewheel, the derailleur as fitted being a Huret friction type, I suspect it can handle up to 6 speeds. If you have anything like that lying around, I would be happy to consider them. Thanks!
