I know this might be a long shot, but my seatpost recently got stolen off my bike

I'm currently looking for a 23.8mm seatpost for an eighties peugeot carbolite

Try Decathlon, it's about the only place to get them as far as I'm aware.

I've got a 22mm seatpost plus the relevant shim from an old peugeot that i built that you could have. It doesn't look great but it'll get you back on the road. In my experience finding rocking horse poo is easier than finding one of these seatposts.
