Does anyone have a rod operated front derailleur ? Made by the likes of Simplex, Cyclo, Huret etc. No down tube lever or cable, you operate it by turning the top of a rod directly attached to the derailleur alongside the seat tube. Sometimes called a "suicide gear" ! Don't worry; I am not feeling depressed !
I need it to complete a French bike from the 1940s where the down tube lever positions are already taken by a two lever operated Huret rear derailleur.
