OK this is my Saracen addiction that I put in the bike of the month with no votes yet (Yeah boo hoo! ) but anyway forgetting that as its just a bit of fun, I am just after a little bit of help. I picked this monster up, about 6 months ago from a chap that seemed to had fallen out of love with cycling completely as he just stated to me that he had no time for it any more or the people involved with it (very grumpy  )
So basically what I want to know is ANYTHING ABOUT THE BIKE/MODEL I know nothing about them and can't really find much about them. I don't know what year it is? or if it came in any other colours etc, etc.?

What I do know is that it has a Risse racing swing arm a Stratos Helix Pro lock out shock with piggy back and a really beautiful set of Stratos Super Star 8 triple crown forks that eat anything you throw it at.

It came with a set of 3.0 tyres on but as good as they look man they kill me going up hill so they had to be swapped for something slimmer. It has Shimano XTR through out the bike with middleburn cranks and Hope mono 4's with braided hoses and a nice set of gold Halo rims to boot.

So if anyone knows anything about the model I would love to know many thanks Blackadder :D

Hi, old post but found you through a trawl regarding my Addiction!

What you have is the 2000 model that came with the Risse swing arm, albeit late in the year which delayed the delivery of mine for the race season.

From the pictures and notes, the rims and saddle are non standard, worthy of note is that the left hand fork leg will eventually leak oil as the seal deteriorates, but is replaceable.

The braided hoses are a luxury, not fitted to mine even as a team bike but hey you can't have everything!!

My rig has been with me since new and has never let me down, the Helix Pro rear shock takes a high pressure pump to set up for your weight and riding style, plus of course the adjustable wheel base.

At the time of issue mine was £3500 rrp and the quality of build stands testament to this.

I would be very reluctant to sell mine, but I would buy another ;)

If you don't still have it then hopefully someone is tearing up the DH trails.

Cheers.

welcome fellow essex boy! theres quite a few of us now, may need to sort out a meet.

If you can get past the Ford Escorts and white stilettos in the car park...

Ha, brilliant... I don't wear the stilettos - cleats don't work too well.

Building a retro proflex 955 bought as a frame and fork combo on here, will be an interim build to get it rolling and work on the gizmos as they become available.

I'm working on the 'get fit or die' mantra for 2012 so meets and regular outings would go down well.

TOWIE !!

Nice bike that, always wanted one, rather rare now for some reason!

Same as the rush right?

The way it went in order of these monsters were.....

Lowest in the range : FRENZY

Mid range : RUSH

Top of the range : ADDICTION.

Oh that makes sense now! These often get called the same thing as i did but i assume it was just different parts?
