Has anyone got a work around for this or am I going to need a different pair of bars? The shifter windows really don't like the bar's nubs. I know I can remove the windows however I would rather keep them if Im able to.

Ah, I see. I think that will be a challenge with any shifters with windows.

You can get a kit to replace the window. Usually for flight deck fittings but should work as a proper solution. A bit of carbon fibre tape works and looks cool if you can live without the window.

You can get online cable indicators if you want to see what gear you are in without a window.

Only the ones I've seen in flight deck kits. I might have some in a new kit.
