So I'm cleaning up a RockShox SID XC 2001, not too hard so far, plenty of manuals and the Enduro pictorial one too.
I also have the bushing change manual (it's in the archives)

But has anyone homebrew changed them?
Really only need one of the top ones altered as half the coating has shattered off.

But if the lowers can be done homebrew and easily (there seems more room to move around than my early Judy's).

I have plenty of bushings so that's not a problem.

After hints, tips and experience (and anything else, like damper etc that you know about).

Re:

Nobody changed bushing on these (or Judy and I guess pilot).

I'm thinking I can use a 30mm washer with clipped edges and down rod for the puller.

For the placement I'm thinking two of these old stanchions I have.
Official they use a sleeve for each, but I could probably put a bushing or something at the correct depth and bond it to a stanchion for each one.
(Any hints on adhesives, I'll sand first)

Then sand off each if needed So they don't get stuck in the tube ;-)

Sound feasible?

Re:

I'm curious how hard this is. I've got an older blue sid, worn bushings. Didn't realize that until AFTER I replaced the oil seals and bought the adapter to air it up. Oh well, might just sell it on Ebay as is for parts.
