I know my way around Reba and Sid forks, but just wanted to check something first.

I have a set of 26er Reba rlt forks that I bought new a couple of years ago, but that have only done a few miles. I've recently bought a ti frame that will run 650b, and have bought wheels to suit.

I'm going to convert the 26er forks to 650b, and have a new set of lowers ready to fit.

I was going to swap out the internals to maintain the 120mm travel, but the riding I do isn't too knarly, so my thinking now is that I'll keep the 120mm 26er internals, which research suggests will leave me with a set of 100mm travel 650b forks.

So, my question is, am I right, and will I regret not having the full 120mm travel?

On my 29er, and most other bikes, my travel is 100 mainly, or often 80mm.

I guess I could just do the swap and if needed, change the internals later (not that I currently have them).

I could also swap the damper over for an x-loc, but would I miss the tuneable compression of the cable actuated lock out?
