Hello.

Raikva

Retro Newbie
I put an ad in >1998 for sales but I'm new so feel it's only polite to say hello.

I work part time in a bike shop but an oily dirty one with hardly any bling not a glamorous one. We specialise in clunkers to be honest because anything remotely fancy gets stolen very quickly round here (Oxford).

Once upon a time I had a KHS Montana Comp - it was good, handled well; I still remember the wishbone stays with fondness. I had a black Stumpjumper before that but it was stolen in Turin. I've had three On One Inbred single speeds (one sold, two stolen) which tells you all you need to know about me really.

Anyway thanks for having me.

Evening. Welcome. Bought my kids’ first bikes from the shop in cowley road. A pink and a blue Raleigh. Happy days riding around Carterton at the back of brize.......

Where are you?

Re:

I'm in Walton Street in Jericho but Oxford is not v big as you know so often go to Cowley road. It's still got some of that slightly sketchy vibe if you know what I mean but somewhat gentrified compared to the old days.

Kids and cycling is a thing isn't it? Child seats that raise the centre of gravity up high; those dangly half-a-bike things... Must be a relief to get them on their own bikes and fun to go riding with them too I imagine. Although I also admire those wiry parents who pedal one of those Dutch bakfiets around with two or three substantial kids in it.

Anyway ta for the welcome.
