Carbon steerers and crown races?

I have a set of Sid world cups that I plan to fit to my trusty team RTS as I've just sold a standard set of Sid team forks it was wearing.

The headset fitted to the frame is a Chris king and the crown race is a standard stainless one i.e. not split.

I don't want to force it down the steerer and damage the carbon, so my question is are there split alternatives that fit a Chris king headset? Should I cut the standard one? Use an alternative headset that has a split crown race instead?

Answers on a digital postcard please.

Re:

cut it (i did exactly that for my SID world cups)

Re:

Yeah just cut a slot in the crown race.
CK headsets have sealed bearing units so it's not as if there'll be ball bearings rolling across the cut, the sealed bearing just sits on the race.
I did this when fitting the crown race to my 29er forks with carbon steerer.

Re:

Cheers, I'd gone down the splitting a king race before, just curious if there were other options.
