I just bought a 98 Specialized Ground Control FSR Comp. I am in the process of restoring/updating it. Could you tell me what the maximum travel is recommended for the fork? From what I read online, there are people who have risked with 180mm forks, although most people recommend not to exceed 130-140mm. Taking into account that my weight will be around 90kg and that I will use it for XC, could I put a fork with 150mm travel without compromising the frame in excess?
