extra long b-screw?

Has anyone used one of these to fit a standard shimano 10 speed rear mech with 40 or 42t cassette? I've been looking for a wolftooth goat link, I've only found one place in the UK that has them for 18 quid, plus 25 quid postage to europe :facepalm:

just wondered if anyone has had success with b-screw modification or replacement?

A normal b screw is m5 ... so is this diffeerent in order to cost £18?

Try screwing it other way so the head butts against the stop
on the dropout.

Done it once, you get a few mm extra.

looks like I'll be trying the mech I have with the b screw reversed then, as soon as I find a cassette and shifter!

I need a longer screw. Just ordered a 25mm m4 screw (as recommended by wolf Tooth) from eBay at 1.50 for a pack of 5. Will let you know how it works.

Confirmed an m4x25mm hex head bolt works fine. Fitted mine on Sunday.
