Trek Liquid 25 04 Pivot Bearing Advice

Dirt Disciple
I in the middle of trying to revive a Trek Liquid 25 04. The main pivot bearing/bushing just above the bottom bracket area is loose. I want to have a look at it to see what can be done. I have easily removed all the other pivots and actually many of the press in cartridge bearings are fine. However I put a 5mm alan key into the side visible in all these photos which is fine... However on the drive side the alan key bolt appears to be recessed. But I don't seem to be able to put a key in to enable me to untwist the bolts. So I am missing the point here or is it an unusual size? I have tried 6mm and 5mm to no avail. Thanks in advance Martin

Are unable to reach the hexagonal hole or are the 5 and 6 mm keys incorrect fitting?

Im guessing you mentioned those sizes as 5 is too small but 6 too big?

Can you try 7/32 in allen key = 5.5 mm, it may work seing as trek are usa brand.
